Geometry Dash Nine Circles (often abbreviated as NC) is a Hard Demon level rated 10 stars, created, validated, and released by the player Zobros. This level has had a significant impact on the Geometry Dash community and has inspired other creators to build their own versions known as "Nine Circles" levels. The level is also notable for being the fourth most downloaded Demon level in Geometry Dash.
Gameplay and Influence:
Nine Circles is one of the game's most important levels. It is recognized for its utilization of design and effects from version 1.9 of Geometry Dash, which is particularly evident in the iconic strobing wave segment.
The release of Fairydust by SuperPizzaLuigi shortly after Nine Circles' upload is believed to have sparked the "Nine Circles craze." This trend led to the creation of multiple Nine Circles-style levels, including popular ones like Sonic Wave, Poltergeist, and Jawbreaker. While not all Nine Circles levels adhere strictly to the same pattern, they often incorporate powerful dubstep music and follow the sequence of cube, ship, ball, cube, wave, and cube game modes.
Despite being rated as a Hard Demon in the game, the community generally considers Nine Circles to be a Medium or Hard Demon level.
User Coins:
First Coin: Located in the ball segment. The player must avoid a yellow orb, fall onto false spikes, and trigger a gravity switch to get back on track.
Second Coin: Found within the wave part. The coin is positioned on top of a saw blade during an anti-gravity wave section. The player must deviate from the standard route, time their actions precisely, and click twice to exit the danger zone after collecting the coin.
Third Coin: Located in the final cube area. The player must hit the edge of the second-to-last jump pad, bounce on the jump orb at the last second, and propel the cube far enough under the creator's name, Zobros. The surrounding spikes vanish, and the coin appears with the message "NOICE."
Trivia:
Nine Circles underwent changes in difficulty throughout its history. Zobros initially altered it to make it harder, then returned it to its original difficulty, and eventually updated it to include user coins.
Sonic Wave, which was originally considered the most difficult level, is no longer the most challenging in the Nine Circles series. Levels like Arctic Lights, Aquatic Auroras, Aerial Gleam, Cosmic Cyclone, Hyper Paracosm, Molten Core, Sakupen Circles, Sonic Wave Rebirth, and Sonic Wave Infinity have surpassed its difficulty. Sakupen Circles is currently considered the most difficult level in the Nine Circles series.
An upcoming sequel to Nine Circles called "Nine Circles II" is anticipated by the community.
Geometry Dash Nine Circles' impact on the community, its influence on level design, and its challenging gameplay have solidified its place as a noteworthy level within the game.
