Geometry Dash Cataclysm

Geometry Dash Cataclysm is an Extreme Demon Level with a 10-star rating and three user coins. It was created and released on January 3, 2015, by a creator known as GGB0Y, and later updated and properly verified by Riot. Cataclysm quickly gained recognition within the Geometry Dash community for its extreme difficulty and became one of the most challenging levels in the game, alongside ICE Carbon Diablo X. The level holds a significant place in the Geometry Dash community due to its role as the first episode of the Extreme Demons trilogy, followed by Bloodbath and Aftermath.

User Coins: Cataclysm features three user coins, each with its own unique challenge:

  1. First Coin (3%): The player needs to time their interactions with a blue orb late, which sends them into a sawblade that appears to be deadly. However, the player is transported to the coin and then teleported back on course.

  2. Second Coin (70%): This coin is considered the easiest to obtain. The player must navigate between spiky areas in the first segment of the twin ship sequence. This route is arguably simpler than the standard route.

  3. Third Coin (85%): To obtain this coin, the player must hit the final blue orb and pass through a gravity portal. Inside the portal, they must hit an invisible yellow ball that teleports them to the third coin. Alternatively, the player can hit the blue orb late, brushing past the coin with the robot.

Trivia:

  • Riot is the first confirmed player to have completed Cataclysm multiple times, doing so in live streams, with the final run serving as a re-verification for GGB0Y to update the coin placements in the level.

  • Players who beat the level before updates are listed in the "hall of fame" at the end of the level. This list includes players such as Cyclic, Giron David, Sandstorm, Powerbomb, Creepy Dash, MaxiS9, and others.

  • Sandstorm is the second player to complete the revised version of Cataclysm, earning all three coins. Other players like Kins0, Quasar, Brandon Larkin, and Surv completed the level afterward.

  • TrusTa created "Multi Clysm," a level that features the Old Cataclysm played twice consecutively. TrusTa has also beaten Cataclysm nearly 30 times.

  • LazerBlitz created "Quest For Perfection," a redecorated and redone version of Old Cataclysm. This level features a blue and black color scheme and replaces the last wave section with a challenging mixed dual. Cataclysm is slightly easier than Quest For Perfection.

  • Cataclysm holds the record for being the most conquered Demon on the Demonlist, with nearly 1,000 victories as of the provided information.

Geometry Dash Cataclysm's intricate design, challenging gameplay, and significance within the community make it a notable and iconic level in the world of Geometry Dash.
